Bio
Karla Mans Giroux - Holistic Cancer Health Coach
I am a Radical Remission metastatic breast cancer (MBC) survivor/thriver with 7 years of N.E.D. I was originally diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003 and underwent a mastectomy, chemo, and radiation. Eleven years later, in late 2014, I received a metastatic breast cancer diagnosis. This diagnosis did not align with my goal of living to be 100+ years, so I decided to do all that I could to manage this challenge. I embarked on a holistic healing journey to help myself regain optimal health and longevity.
With my integrative approach to healing, I am blessed to report “no evidence of disease” since 2016! My passion has led me to share what I have learned, so that everyone with a cancer diagnosis can have a better chance of overcoming the odds. I have received my health coaching certification from the Wisdom of the Whole Coaching Academy, as well as the Radical Remission Project. I am nationally board certified by the National Board of Health & Wellness Coaches (NBHWC). I Co-Founded the Health Navigators, a Virtual Cancer Wellness Community in 2020. As Co-Director of the Radical Remission Project, Co-Host of the Radical Remission Stories That Heal podcast, and as a Certified Radical Remission Workshop Instructor & Health Coach, it is my mission to share the powerful benefits of the Radical Remission healing factors with the world.
Coaching Style
As a holistic health coach focused on guiding people with cancer, I focus heavily on mindset. Having a strong mindset is essential to overcome a diagnosis. I have my clients look at their limiting beliefs and question them. I also love to take people through an “as if” life exercise. Focusing on what they want in 5 years, 10 years, etc. and having them start living “as if” that future were already a reality puts them in a mindset to achieve their goals.
I also work with people to find the contributing factors that may need to change in order to overcome the odds of a diagnosis. Lifestyle changes are imperative. We can’t heal if we remain the same person in which cancer took hold. We need to look at what changes are necessary in our lives to become inhospitable hosts to cancer.
Personal Philosophy
I feel that by uncovering what limits us and breaking free of the stories we tell ourselves we can find new beliefs. We can begin to believe that healing is possible. Once we believe it is possible then we can find our inner resilience and take actions that align with that belief. When we focus on what we love and what brings meaning to our lives we are living into our future, and we don’t have time for dis-ease. This is how I live and why I know I will live to see my 100th birthday, healthy and sane! Contact Karla at 847-306-9599, Karla@RadicalRemission.com, or Karla@HealthNavs.com.

“Karla’s success from her own healing journey is such a source of hope and strength for me. One of the many things I love about working with Karla is she does not shy away from the hard stuff that comes up when dealing with the realities of an advanced cancer diagnosis and its many challenges. Her compassion, honesty, humor, strength, and can do attitude coupled with her insight and gift for coaching continues to help me to not only ask hard questions about what is really important but helped me identify and reframe unhelpful thinking/emotions/and behaviors and then create a manageable action plan through the 10 healing factors to create a positive ‘healing’ foundation and path forward. I cannot begin to express enough my gratitude to Karla for her support, encouragement, and coaching skills over the past few months. She has made a real difference in the quality of my healing journey. Karla is wonderful to work with!”
